Will I get constipated or have diarrhea afterwards?
It’s worth repeating, "one colonic is worth 20 regular bowel movements." That said, you may experience a slight delay in bowel movements following colonic irrigation. Upon resumption, you’ll notice somewhat larger, easier to move stools.
Infrequently, diarrhea or loose stools occur due to the extra water introduced during a treatment. If this happens, it’s usually for a short duration.
How do you feel about laxatives?
Most laxatives are chemicals, which may irritate the colon. They tend to be habit forming and work against natural elimination. Laxatives deplete water from the colon, compounding the problem.
